can someone tell me where it is on Style Var?

the background is way too dark. Again I have been struggling to find the correct stylevar.

Not being able to view your board, are you using a custom skin?

Something like this in additional.css can accomplish your problem.

.cke_wrapper {
background-color: #262623 !important;
}

Obviously change the color to your preferred choice.
