Hello,
I am running 3.7.4, and the site is NOT outside of our network. (not on the web, only for internal use)
I would like to be able to use the Image Attachment in posts, but since the site doesnt have access to Imageshack or any other webbased image host, what can I do?
I saw this:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=106127&page=60
But the plugin is for an eariler version of Vbulletin.. I tried to install, but it wouldnt work.
Any suggestions?
THANKS!
Lynne

Why not have users just attach the posts to the threads - so use the vbulletin built in attachment option?

I'd like to have the image within the tread, and not at the bottom. Easier to read.

You mean like this:
111305
Or do you prefer to look at a cat (or 2)?
111306
Whatever you want without any modification, just use the [ attach] BB-Code

The tag allows you to embed images within your posts. You can also combine this tag with the [url] tag to make images become links.

But, how do i get the image from the user into that directory? (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/images/statusicon) ftp?

You use the Attachment Manager to add the attachments to the post. Then, put your cursor where you want the image to show and click on the little paperclip and a dropdown will appear with a list of the attachments. Select one and then it will show in the post where you inserted it instead of on the bottom of the page.

To add to this.
To include external images, you can use the [ img] BB-code, to embed an image attachment that was uploaded, use the [ attach]<attachment-id>[ /attach] BB-code.
PS See also the list of BB-codes: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/misc.php?do=bbcode
(You can go to the same page on your own forum)
