Buttons appearing in Internet Explorer

Can someone help me try and figure out why my buttons on my site www.monocleonthemouse.com/forums (http://www.monocleonthemouse.com/forums) don't appear (they are showing as red x's) in Internet Explorer yet they look fine when using Mozilla Firefox.

I don't know a whole lot about this stuff so I may need some clear instructions :)

Also, i know the logo looks like crap. I am waiting for a new file format and then i will get that fixed.

It's not showing in Firefox either this stylvar is in the common section though there is several the button show itself and the highlight.
