Here is what you should do,
just download the product again and import product xml file keeping "overwrite" option ON.
Or you can just uninstall the product xml from vb admincp and import it again.
It will automatically do everything. You dont have to edit any template manually. ;)

ok please follow these instructions :
1. Login to vBulletin admincp
2. Go to Plugins And Products -> Manage Products

=> If you want to restrict this feature for guests etc. then do this :

1. Open Upload/adiinviter.php
Find :
print_output($templater->render());
Replace with :
if (!$vbulletin->userinfo['userid'])
{
print_no_permission();
}
else
{
print_output($templater->render());
}
Repeat above find and replace procedure for Upload/adiinviter_next.php and Upload/adiinviter_supported.php also.

It will prevent access to non logged in users. Thats all you can do in free version.

The warnings you are getting is because your temporary directory on server is different. Please let me know what is the temporary directory name so i can tell you the modification.

The warnings you are getting is because your temporary directory on server is different. Please let me know what is the temporary directory name so i can tell you the modification.

or simplest way is, create 1 folder on your server
Open Upload/adiinviter/config.php
Find :
'cookie_path'=>'/tmp',
Replace with :
'cookie_path'=>'/path_to_your_directory',
Note : You must specify full path.
i.e. for linux : home/*user*/forums/your_directory
for windows : root/...../your_directory

at that directory level, create 1 folder named "tmp" and dont do any changes in config.php.
that will solve your issue.
Please remove that image. Do not expose your directory structure openly in public like that.

Read step #4 in installation document.

Find :

Specify full path to global.php at your forum root.

In case you dont know how to get correct path then do this :
Write below code in abc.php and upload it on your server :

That will give you root path. just enter further path to global.php next to it.
for e.g. if you get C:\root\xyz\abc\
then enter further path to global.php next to it

that feature is already been stacked for next full version update release.

Find :

Replace with :

Repeat above for Upload/adiinviter/yahoo.php
Thats all!

From now on where ever you want to specify name of receiver in message body, just use <<<<receiver>>>> in msg.txt. :)

No!! its not because of AdiInviter.. it uses simple php mail() function to send invites.. another thing is, you should ask these things (Full version related) in Projects Planet forums.. cuz none of vb staff have AdiInviter code.. Free version code is totally diff from Full version... Full version uses totally different algorithms and structure.. and its very highly optimized..
so if you have any questions then please post 1 topic in Customer Support section of Projects Planet forums..

I was this close to installing this but since the basically the processing takes place on your server and not that of my own hard to really say how safe it is and also how reliable it is. If your site/server is having any problems I will not be able use this on my own site. Great product just not for me on this one.

Also since everything is really done on your server there no way to verify the safety of the product besides just taking your word for it. I can not tell all my members that its perfectly safe when there info is being process through someone else server and all they tell me is that is completely secure.

Even if it is secure, since the code

for example you can change it at any time to gain info. In no way am I stating that you would but again I have no control over it and its a thought for safety of my members.

First of all nobody is forcing you to install this mod so kindly don't get panic. Second thing is, if you think offensive language can get answers to your questions any faster then you are totally wrong my friend. We are not here to do any kind of fraud.
AdiInviter is fully legal and copyrighted product.
Now about your question, Let me first tell you how this thing works..
AdiInviter simulates actual login, exporting contacts and sending emails (using php MAIL() function) to selected contacts. Its just like humans do manually in any webmail (like gmail, yahoo etc.).
Now whenever any of these services (like gmail, yahoo) changes/updates their codes then we have to update our libraries accordingly. Hence contact inviters require much frequent updates.
Last thing is, if your 2 members complained you about weird behavior in their webmail accounts then my answer is its not because of AdiInviter script (Unless you/someone modified code at other end). If you still think AdiInviter is causing it then kindly make 1 account on some webmail and test it yourself whether same thing is happening or not.

About, asking vBulletin staff to verify our codes, discussing full version in this topic :
We answer full version questions only in Projects Planet forums. Because its against vb.org policies to provide paid product support in here. And we are not some cowards to hide behind our fans at Projects Planet. Because there are better ways to do frauds rather than stealing email ids.

@Zaiaku, that is a remote debugger feature we had in our very old versions. The service has been taken down now. You can visit that url to confirm. Remote dubugging feature was provided to solve problems in more faster ways. All it was able to do is create 1 xml and write full error code with text (No error can disclose entered email and its password) and submit it to us. So we were able to get quick and exact idea of problem.
For e.g.
Member in some community complains his admin : No email is received when i select contact and hit send invite button.
Now that admin will explain same to us but to diagnose problem, generated xml will give us exact location in code we are suppose to look in to.
That was the only use of it. And feature can be turned off. Current versions do not have that feature.
Everything is happening at your end only and there is no way we or you (unless you modify code at your end) or some members can steal data.
The only thing happens in AdiInviter is
GET DATA FROM WEBMAIL -> PROCESS IT -> SEND EMAILS USING PHP mail() FUNCTION.
Nothing is going up. :)

Free version doesnt have invites history feature so it can't have resend facility at all.

I've scanned all 8 pages and haven't found anyone reporting this problem, yet.

I've uploaded the files, including required edits, and I've imported the product. The problem is that the settings never appear in the AdminCP navigation. Even by logging in and out, using different browsers, reinstalling the product ... no luck.

Since I can't change the settings I've disabled the plugin for the nav button for the time being. I can still hit the inviter URL directly, but it won't confuse users.

Having similar problems. Aditya says they are under DoS attacks at the moments so I am being patient. Though it is annoying having paid for the product :(

Yes you heard it rite. We had DoS attacks from one underground turkish hackers group. It was a racist thing. So we fired a police complaint. As police were investigating, they put restrictions on everything. Like, for first few days i wasn't allowed to access anything on Projects Planet as well as my email account. However i did notified about it to all the customers. Well everything is solved now and they caught 4 kids who were behind all this thing. I'm extremely sorry about inconvenience. We are back on track now.. we will start serving your requests from tomorrow morning only (+5:30 GMT). There are so may new things we will be launching in next few days. :)

Free version doesn't need admincp options as you can directly set invitation message and subject in .txt file at your root.
About 500 error, did you CHMOD any files of AdiInviter?

Make sure you change the script url to http://www.yourdomain.com/inviter.php (http://www.yourdomain.com/inviter.php) and also change the available scripts list. Free version have only Gmail and Yahoo.

Click on "Save" button .



And yes members can invite their friends anytime they want even if they skip main invitation step (or you dont have it in your website) at the time of registration. MOD automatically adds 1 navbar link without single manual template edit required by you. :)

I am waiting on a minor issue as well (I need a typo corrected in the software), but other than that it is running fine.

Everytime I contacted the guy, and when he does response he always say he's on vacation or had an accident and need times to recover.

It takes him roughly 5-8 days to response... it's been over 2 months ( right now, I'm still waiting for his reply and it's almost been 16 days now, still no luck..).

I paid the payment via Paypal.

Can a USA sue a person from India for such case? If so, would I lose money or regain my benefits?

Please give some insight and put this to justice.

Yes it is such a shame that their support sucks and the product is buggy, Its even more of a shame as the potential for the product is massive, is one of those things that if it worked properly and was marketed properly could make the writers a lot of money because its something that nearly every community admin would want. Being able to invite friends is what made facebook and co the site that they are now.

There is no settings option in Admincp for free version. Once you install it, just look for AdiInviter link in your navbar or simply go to www.yourdomain.com/adiinviter_supported.php

I read a post somewhere in this thread that the PAID version has a lot of bugs.

Full versions are compatible with all versions of vBulletin.
AdiInviter v11 and below had few bugs. AdiInviter v12.0.0 (latest version) doesn't have any issues. The current version 12.0.0 is an extensive rewrite of entire AdiInviter system and is way too advaced than any prior version of AdiInviter.

@onehost, yes that is absolutely possible.
1. Rename file your_forum_root/adiinviter_supported.php to whatever you want. (for e.g. new_name.php)
2. Go to styles and templates >> Edit Template >> Edit adiinviter_menu template
Find :
adiinviter_supported.php
Replace with your newly assigned name :
new_name.php

When you download product zip file from this topic, there is sub.txt and msg.txt inside folders :
\Upload\adiinviter\sub.txt
\Upload\adiinviter\msg.txt

specify your custom invitation message there and upload both of those files to your server replacing original contents at :
..your_forum_root/adiinviter/sub.txt
..your_forum_root/adiinviter/msg.txt

Probably a stupid question to most but: Does the inviter use host relays? (like emails do)
We are still on a shared hosting plan so if it does use host relays and we send invites to 1000 people that is the same as sending 1,000 emails and we might get banned by our host....we wouldn't want that to happen.

It uses PHP mail() function to send invitation emails. We have taken care of it in our codes.
Free version doesn't have facility to limit number of mails sent per hour/day but the full version does have that facility.

I just wanted to apologize for some of my comments on this product in the past. Because of a misunderstanding I blamed Aditya for not supporting this product. I purchased the full version, and I have to say that he has given me nothing but the best support possible. He even went beyond what was necessary.

I run this on my vb 4.0.7 forum, without any issues whatsoever. It is truly a great add on, and I will recommend it to anyone that is serious in increasing members.

Thats a debate for sure. Yes, if it was a sure fire payoff, then
great, but I have been running the demo for some time now,
and to be honest, I do see this mod doing much, nor is
anyone bringing it to my attention that they are using it.
so at this point, to me it would be like a $50 worthless junk-bond.
it may work for some, but I see no evidence that it is working for me.

I paid $120 for this script (who also claim free lifetime updates), this person allows his customer to download the product package directly from his site, however, in the package itself, he's NOT including the invitation_verify.php file which basically makes this script pretty much useless.

Everytime I contacted the guy, and when he does response he always say he's on vacation or had an accident and need times to recover.

It takes him roughly 5-8 days to response... it's been over 2 months ( right now, I'm still waiting for his reply and it's almost been 16 days now, still no luck..).

I paid the payment via Paypal.

Can a USA sue a person from India for such case? If so, would I lose money or regain my benefits?

Please give some insight and put this to justice.

There is a download option for vbulletin... donno whether it will work with 4.x.x.... even for 3.8.x u need lot of editing n error corrections.... in 3.8.x mod section there is a mod for this... if somebody upgrade it n get it working..... worth rather than somebody using a free product being sold modified....:eek:

On a separate note, what configuration controls the presentation of the recaptcha popup within AdiInviter? I noticed it in the Live Demo, but I don't see what controls it inclusion/exclusion. I have input the proper recaptcha public/private keys.

This is all in a QA environment of an unreleased site; time to launch is short to resolve this issue. Any input would be much appreciated.

I have just checked Yahoo and Gmail curl libraries and both of 'em are working fine.
We have removed curl based libs from AdiInviter Pro and implemented oAuth (3rd party authentication) for both the libs due to same reports for past few months. I will try my best to reproduce the problem you have reported and get back to you.

There is no inbuilt reward system but you can find top #n number of users who have sent the most invitations or whose invitations received the most response (i.e. Accepted, Unsubscribed, Expired etc.).

I'm able to reignite interest from members who faded to facebook and invite thousands of friends on social networks in one fell swoop. I logged into facebook and thousands of people were liking my post and invitation, I registered a lot and even got some donations coming through the site. According to google analytics, I doubled the unique visitors to my site in the one day I had it installed and that was with just me alone testing it out with my contacts . Now my board is THE topic of conversation on the net. It's definitely worth the upgrade from lite as any issues that crop up, they'll spend however long it takes to get you up and running perfectly. Facebook got big by having ways to find your friends who were already there and inviting new ones. Now I'm able to do the same and we're just about to cross the 5,000 member threshold. i dont see the login to mail text Email adress: and username: cause its white on white.

If you are using free version from this topic, please do the following -
1. Open file : your_forum_root/adiinviter/gmail.php
Find :
Email Address :
The structure around found text will let you control color and appearance of login structure.

For Yahoo, do the same. File path for Yahoo is : your_forum_root/adiinviter/yahoo.php

2. If you are using Full Version or AdiInviter Pro v1.0 (http://www.adiinviter.com), then simply edit your_forum_root/adiinviter/themes/default-vb4/ovelerlay/overlay.css and specify colors you want in those classes.

Hi,

I bought the pro version. I installed it per instructions. Last night I was able to send out one facebook invite, which rejected. I suspect it is because I had the FB options set to not allow direct facebook registration.

This morning, I have not been able to get the mod to work at all. A pop up window opens up, appears to log on, but then doesn't ever change.

Also, I cannot seem to get rid of the yellow banner across the page for unregistered users. Unlike most, I only want to offer the invite friends option to people that have established themselves with the community.

Any help is appreciated.

If you are talking about free version then can you please tell us if you are getting any error or warning?

I had the lite version and just purchased the Pro version yesterday. Works great on 4.2, and the support has be awesome. I needed some tweaks to one of the notices and they got right back to me, I wanted the default to be Facebook instead of Gmail.

I got the Pro version and that is really impressive what these guys did. Besides having a great product which works amazingly great, their support system is spectacular, similar than mine :).

I used it for a client custom script, and had to tweak it a little for that purpose in order to invite people to calendar events. They basically walked me thru the changes that I needed.

After an invited guest registers he gets redirected to that calendar event so he could RSVP etc ...

While doing so, I had the opportunity to study the coding. Very clean and very powerful. I would recommend that to anyone looking for a contact importer.

It was a real pleasure to work with them. Very helpful and professional.

Since the providers change their access method once in a while, those guys stay on top things every time.

I wish them all the best. They more than deserve it.

Purchased Adinviter PRO 11 months ago, after Upgrading Vb4.2 i got some errors, actually this error is not related with adinviter it's from some other plugins. But When i ask their support to fix this issue, they have fixed all these issue within few minutes.

Everyone can see Find friends even if they have not the rights to invite someone.

Find friends tag there is not in Navigation Manager.

1. How can i erase this tab and put this menu as submenu in Forums tab ?

2. How can be done someone who has not the rights not to see the Find friends menu ?
