this is what they sent me and it still did not work. Any ideas??

We just updated that server's PHP from 5.2.8 to 5.3.1 - some of the pertinent changes are:

Register Globals are off by default, but you can change that value on a local level, and allow_url_include is turned off as a security enhancement.

You can change these values locally if you need them changed. Please see:

Please let us know if you continue to have problems or have any questions :^)

I did everything the link said I have a php.ini here http://stuntusa.com/php.ini and http://stuntusa.com/forums/php.ini I even stick it in http://stuntusa.com/forums/inclueds/php.ini still no luck..

Do you have the option to go back?

There is a bug in the bug tracker about 5.3 and a fix is posted in there depending... What version of vB are you running? If it isn't 3.8.4 or later, you are going to have to do several file edits to get it to work.

It looks like your host downgraded PHP overnight, as I don't see the errors now.

However, you're still on vBulletin 3.8.1. The fix for the PHP 5.3 errors above was included in 3.8.4 a few months back, so you might also consider upgrading your forum. (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/project.php?issueid=28380)

Yea moving hosts now, going to a vps server so i have control and will upgrade it once done..

Should that upgrade mess anything up like templates or mods. I am always worried about doing those.. Had a few issues back in the day..

Specify to your new host that you need a PHP in the 5.2 series, and you'll should be ok. :)
