Best way to make graphs in posts?

Is there a plugin or any way to easily create graphs (column charts or line graphs or similar) in my forum's threads? Or is the best way to just include images of graphs?

I would like for most users on my forum to be able to do this.

Images of graphs. Use excel > upload it to an image service. Post.

I have yet to come across an graphing solution mod...mind one thats sophisticated enough to do what your trying to do.
