Okay, I thought this was solved last night, but I was incorrect.

Here is what I have done. I have set up 3 different feeds a couple days ago, withing the 'RSS Feed Manager'

I set everything up, and even clicked the 'run scheduled task now' to make sure they would grab and post the content where I wanted, and it worked great!!

So now, here is the issue: After I set it up, I waited and waited and nothing. Nothing has been auto posted. I went back to the Feed Manager to make sure the feeds have been updated and indeed they had been.

So why is it NOT auto posting?? Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Are you sure there is new info to be posted from the feeds? What is posted in the Scheduled Task log for the rssposter (assuming you have it logging)? Any errors in your error_log?

Well I just checked the log, and no errors in the log.

Now I do see that this "RSS Poster Robot" was last accomplished fine....but that was me running the task manually.

Now here is how I know there are new posts in the feed. Because when I click preview feed, they have many new ones.

Thoughts?

If the last time for the rss bot to run was when you ran it manually, then it doesn't sound like it is running on it's own. In the scheduled tasks manager, are all the Next Times for the tasks in the future?

Here are the screen shots....maybe they can help.

The last screen shot...is the most recent post on a blog. This SHOULD be being pulled in my site, but it hasn't been. It's been there all day, and is showing up in the preview with the RSS manager.

Just not sure why it's pulling.

Hmm, the only thing I can think of it to do something like change the time to check the feed from 10 to 30 and maybe up the number of items it fetches from 1 to 3 and see if that makes any difference. Other than that, I can't think of anything because it all looks fine to me. You could try a support ticket.

I have a very similar problem for 3.8.1.

I have numerous feeds going into different forums. However there is one forum in which I am having problems and the RSS feeds are not being posted.

It makes no since to me as all other forums and feeds are set up identically. I have tried a new feed to test the forum, however it is not working as well while all other feeds are operating.

I'm not sure if you or anyone else found an answer to your problem or can help with mine, but if you or they did I would love to hear about it.

thanks

I had a problem with this and finally figured out that it was the a product i had installed.

I had a product that wouldn't let a user post a link until they had 15 posts. When I disabled that, it worked great!

Hope that helps!

Either that or the RSS posting user doesn't have permission to the forum.
