I have downloaded a couple of vb4 styles and they show that they are "supported". I am assuming that means that the creator will provide support for questions asked. I have encountered this with two different style makers that are not replying to requests for support. I realize you can't twist their arm, but maybe at least take "supported" status away from them.

I'm only going by what I've seen over the last few years here, but vB.org has always left the "Support" response time up to the authors. That status simply means they're willing to help if they can. Not that they will get back to you in a timely manner, or if they feel your overlooking the answer already in the thread or documentation. Also, most authors will ignore anyone who hasn't clicked Installed.

if your "support answer delay" is set to 30 minutes, you will NEVER have support as you wish. people come from time to time to see if their releases has questions, and that's all... they have lifes to live...

Basically, it's what DJ and vBenhancer said... up to author and honestly sometimes we are busy looking for our own stuff or stuff for friends and clients simply forgetting to check out our own mods daily, I try for at least once a week tbo. If anything simply PM the author and ask your question it won't hurt to try but also bare in mind some are not as nice as others err I should say we are all a bit different so take no offense if any is given that's just they way some are ;).
Or pm one of the coders you see running around replying to lots of threads and they might help you out on occasion but... *cough *cough *hint *hint :D

Just be careful with the PMs too. A lot of folks get them excessively for things that could be asked within the forums. >_> <_<
