Is there anyway to include blog entries among the forum posts and article posts and comments when you click the What's New tab?

I know you can then click on the New Blog Entries submenu, but I'm afraid the word "blog" is scary for my users (they aren't very web 2.0ish) and therefore they'll never click on the Blogs tab or the New Blog Entries submenu under the What's New? tab.

How can I integrate all new things (new posts, blog entries, articles, article comments, etc) together so that they all show when the What's New? tab is clicked?

I looked in the ACP under CMS, Blog, Options, etc etc and couldn't find any setting for this. I also searched here on the vB forums and couldn't find anyone asking the same question.

Thanks in advance!

PS- I tried to ask at vBulletin.com and got no response.

Right, that too Charlie.

Everything should be part of What's New right from the first click. I hope a solution to this arises soon.

This definitely needs to happen.

vB's new publishing suite is so big and badass, it just blows me away that they built it in a way where there content isn't interchangeable with itself. Such a FAIL. :(

It's certainly lacking some features that most of us expected it to have. An uppercase fail? Probably not.

Strangely enough with all the beta testing time you'd think this issues would have popped up sooner. Oh well. vB is working on improvements and so I'm not worried. My site is about 90% the way I want it with 4.0, so I'm sure by 4.1 I'll be quite pleased.

The FAIL is due to the fact that one of their developers over on the vb.com or here on the .org site stated in regards to this is that the architecture of the code won't allow it. So my take on that is unless 4.2 completely trashes everything and starts from scratch, which it won't, we aren't going to see this feature ever. Which is very frustrating to me that they built such a mighty tool but didn't allow it to work with itself 110%
