Similar thread cut off date

i'm working on a forum that is bringing up a lot of old threads (2005)

is it possible to restrict similar threads shown to the last X days ?

You can probably do a plugin to restrict it. Go find the hook location "search_similarthreads_fulltext" and see what you can do.
