How to change page background colour

Could someone please tell me how to change the page background colour please from the default light greyish blue. I can't seem to find it in the style vars.

Open up StyleVars for the template in question, click the "hide Variables" button then click on "Common" Do a search for "Background for Entire HTML Document"

Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but this doesn't work. Nothing changes ? :( I have tried uploading other styles too, and they don't show up with different colors. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I was finally able to get some changes made. I have to completely clear my cache and cookies and then reload to see any style changes. It's extremely frustrating.

Oh, and it's still pretty basic, I am just starting to mess with colors and such, so no laughing please :)

I'm having the same issue regarding the background color.

I can go in and change it - using the directions above - and even when I click "Preview" the color does not change.

Is there something hardlined in that I can alter to allow me to change this? Thanks in advance!
