Hi,

I have a forum http://www.clubcav.com/index.php.

i just moved to new server and everything looks good now. but i have a problem.

when you see number of posts....i think, it's totally wrong.

example: maintenance forum ---> 1,095 Thread and 2,629,328 Posts

How i could fix all number of posts on this forum?

Thanks for help.

Means you have more posts than threads, you always will have more posts than threads lol.

I understand what you're saying abud - you'd know if you had 2,000,000+ posts.

You apparently have a problem with a thread on page 48 of the Specific Technical Discussion => Maintenance forums, which appears to have more than 2 million posts, and there's one on page 49 with a half million or so. Either there's some problem there or else there's an incredible amount of interest in "Ashtray light replacement"

I don't know how to fix it, but there's "Repair / Optimize Tables" under Maintenance in the ACP, maybe that will help.

Well, yeah, I meant he'd know if there was supposed to be 2 million legit posts. I guess it's possible someone actually posted that many. But it sounds like maybe it just happened with the server move.

Have you tried rebuilding the thread information (and then the forum information) in Maintenance?

Guys, thanks for your reply.

Yes, that is weird...after i count posts on http://www.clubcav.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23....there are no more than 2 million posts.

Yes, i have tried to rebuild the thread information and post number still weirds.

kh99, i saw that is 'views column' not post/replies column.

--------------- Added 1262086731 at 1262086731 ---------------

1,097 Threads = 2,629,341 Posts,

it means 1 thread = 2396 Posts/replies. looks weird.

any advice how i could fix this?

Thanks for help.

You're right of course, but I think something has changed. There was another thread that had a high post count, I think it was "torx size for wheel dearing olts" on page 48 that definitely is different now. It still just times out when I click on it.

maybe threads with loads of replies, some merging happened or even a mod moved threads.

Well, it's possible that I looked at the wrong column. But if you look at the post counts for the "Maintenance" forum there are like 2,500,000 missing (if you sort by reply the max is 66, and even if every thread had the max that's still only about 72,000 total). And yesterday I posted that one thread appeared to have around 2,000,000 and another around 500,000, so I think it's changed (maybe by running the repair thing).
