I try to add a simple AdBrite code to 4.0 after upgrading on the default skin into the footer, and I get an error:
The following error occurred when attempting to evaluate this template:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/*****/public_html/forum/includes/adminfunctions_template.php(4597) : eval()'d code on line 131
This is likely caused by a malformed conditional statement. It is highly recommended that you fix this error before continuing, but you may continue as-is if you wish.
If I continue, I get this error on the forum:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/*****/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php(3900) : eval()'d code on line 131
Any help? I don't like Adsense, and I have always used AdBrite. I have tried putting it in different templates, and a different skin, but have had no luck.
The only Mod I have installed right now is the GCBOS Chatbox, and the "Who has read a Thread" Mod.
Any help would be very nice, so I can start making income again :) lol

anybody got a solution for this? i have the same problem.
I am using the built in ad manager in VB4.0.0. Was it not tested for adbrite ads? im having the exact same error the OP is getting.
Can anyone point me to the right direction about getting the ads in my site correctly? Thanks in advance!

Adbrite is pretty slow sometimes and I've noticed the adverse performance impact it has on sites as well. The only real way around it, is to not use it. So I guess it's a fine line between money and user experience

Great Job , thanx a million
