umm its displaying fine on my site. see the demo. i wanted it in the bottom of the page for my site so thats where i put it but that can always be changed

oops sorry. At 1st it was saved without a name in settings group but it was fixed later but uploaded the wrong file.

Uninstalled for now.. It appears threads made in hidden sections (non-public view) can see the thread titles in latest posts.. this is a big no. Thanks to this plugin, people saw secret topic names that wasn't meant for the public.

This is one of the most requested mods. However we NEED it @ the top under the navbar, and it needs to respect forum permissions for the user.

I found many mistakes while translating the mod to Arabic language.
First of all you should write ( & ) as ( & ) in any HTML/XHTML code
in the line #71, you have to replace it with this:

Another simple mistake in the line #67, ( <div width="100%" ...... )
the default width value for the div tag is 100%, so you don't have to write width="100%", although attribute width cannot be used for the div tag, and more silly errors on line #67, which is in the table tag, you should use quotation mark in the border, cellspacing, and cellpadding attributes.

Last mistake is that you forgot to close the <b> tag on line #67..

Yes it is possible but it requires template editing. I was trying to find a hook that would allow it without requiring any template edits.

I know its in BETA stage, I just wanted to help fixing things by showing the errors. :)

3 weeks? quite some time. Does the fix includes the private section fix arb? I uninstalled it because it was showing hidden post names to the public that they shouldn't even see. I was also hoping that this plugin can include AJAX updates so it'll update automatic with a notification that the thread/post has been updated. :)

Sorry, but I really don't like the way this mod works. You can't restrict groups from seeing it because of the way it caches the template.

Create an auto refresh, set it to 15/30/60 secs and it would auto refresh the latest topics.

That coupled w/respect to forum permissions and this is a 5 star app imo.

I have included a screenshot of what it looks like on my forum, I think I'm on the bandwagon of having it look more "forum" friendly myself.

If it were encompassed like the chat box is and the forum below, I think it would look more "fitting". Just a suggestion.

If you have been following along with this thread, you would understand that you can filter forums that won't be listed in the latest post, although they aren't permission based, it's a great workaround imo.

I removed my admin forums, but left the "members" forum. It's a donation based forum. Meaning users who have donated to our site, get extra forums for their support and it's great when posts are made there, and others can see, but not view. Great incentive for them to support the forum.

Because there are so much more new posts than new threads in my forum everyday.
For the new posts I use a block of the forums sidebar, where about 25 new posts are displayed ...

Unfortunately I am not able to change the script to my needs. :o

The latest one you uploaded (click here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1948564&postcount=94) for link to post) with the new style to make it fit in better with the forum shows posts in forums that have restricted perms.

For example, I have a moderator only section on my forum but when I log out, the moderator posts still show up in the latest post list.

Can you please fix this? Also, adding it so we can customize the character limit would be awesome. Keep up the great work, you're doing a very good job and we all love you for it! :D

Sorry to be a feature creep, but the old Latest X Posts also had the option to exclude certain users from the statistics. This is because some forums (including mine) have RSS Feed users that are created solely to repost RSS feeds from other websites automatically. I would like to be able to exclude RSS Feed users from the stats because their post count is way higher for the simple reason that the user is a bot that reposts content automatically.

My users can see thread titles to threads that they dont have permission to see.

We have a staff section and only staff are allowed there but with this plugin all users can see the thread titles in the Latest Posts section.

Would be cool to update it so they can't see forum titles for forums they dont have permission to view.

Hey, great job on this. However, I would like to increase the number of characters shown in the topic titles on the latest posts listings so the latest posts stretches out a bit and I would like to remove Newest Members to make room for that.

I tried going to the Plugin Manager but it was only php code, so I looked for the template and found it under forumhome_latestposts but seems like the code I need to edit is in {vb:raw latest_posts} and I don't know where to find that. Could you help out please?

Edit: Oh yeah dang, I have the same problem as the above posters - I can see threads listed from the staff forum even as a guest.

Edit2: I read through the whole thread and found the updated XML with forum excludes. Great job. Still would like help with my original problem though. Many thanks!

Yeah, you can just tell us where to go to edit the table or div code to remove columns, etc. I was looking at it a minute ago and realized I'd like to get rid of the # column in each stat - totally unnecessary.

Hi everybody
I am wondering if this product can help me hide some statistics, especially new users, if I want to.
My problem is that I am looking for some hack or add-on or whatever in order to be able to hide the advanced forum statistics.
Since some people are registering on my forum with obscene names, I don't want these people to appear on the statistics until they have been approved by myself or a mod.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.

I am currently running vBulletin 4.1.9

lateststatistics.xml works fine

But I can not get lateststatistics_Navbar.xml to show up. Maybe it is my theme? I would LOVE to get lateststatistics_Navbar.xml to show up and work. I have been looking for this for a long time.

I don't see any spam, the two image url's go to images, and the demo link goes to the site, but it seems they have not checked it in awhile, and need to either switch their default theme, or update their current one, as their license has expired. :)
