Because so many people are persistently saying "are you going to upgrade?" can't you just post an announcement saying that such conversations are banned on the forum? It's getting boring reading these threads.

Since you're so bored, perhaps you should go read the sticky thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228755) in the vb4 forums.

That doesn't really answer my question. :(
Thanks though

The question was if you could make an announcement to try to stop the amount of "will you upgrade to vb4.0 vBulletin.org?" questions and just tell everyone the answer.

There is no real answer here.

Some mods will not be upgraded, some will. Its all up to the coder that released the said modification.

I agree its up to the coder/maker of what ever is being asked.

No idea why the topic is suddenly about mods and such.

I meant about vBulletin.org upgrading the software to vb4 topics!

Because your original post was extremely vague, and everyone assumed you were talking about people upgrading mods to vb4.

Where are all these threads exactly ? I dont recall seeing any for a long time.

Oh, I'm sorry for creating such confusion.

How can you ban vbulletin.org upgrade talk? even though as tiresome as they are there is always a chance for the topic to induce an idea for when the upgrade takes place. there's always a pro to asking and chat evolving. And, as I recall, there hasn't been a barrage of "I can't breathe I need the org to upgrade this second" requests for a good while. In anycase you don't have to read these topics. Nobody has a gun to your head forcing you to endure such threads. There's a solution right there, don't enter the thread and read.

Well, vBulletin.org has always said "We'll upgrade when vB4 goes gold"

Well, vB4 is gold now, so people are wondering when the upgrade will be so they can grab and backup thier favourite mods.

Eh, there is always the chance of vB.org going: Sorry, you're not a winner! Thanks for playing. @vB4

I hope they stay with vb3.8. :D The longer the better so I'm a advocate for not upgrading.

Didn't it get boring reading all of the "When does vB 4 go Gold?" threads? God knows there were hundreds of those!
Well, vBulletin.org has always said "We'll upgrade when vB4 goes gold"

When and where did you see this?

The upgrade will happen when the admins are ready to. Ain't that the best answer? :)
