"Currently Active Users" Not showing up?

I enabled it doing this:


AdminCP>vBulletin Option>All Options>Forum Display Options (forumdisplay)

Show Users Browsing Forums: YES


But it still does not show up on any thread.

For thread, you choose thread display lol.

Yep, as ChopSuey said, you enabled it for the Forum, not the Thread. You need to go to the Thread Display Options to set it for the thread.

Ok I did a search for this and this is the thread that is closer to the problem I am having right now.

I have this set as follows:

Show Users Browsing Threads: Yes Alphabetical listing to all visitors

Yet I only see myself browsing in that thread when others are also browsing though it. It never shows anyone else just the person who is viewing the thread.

Any idea you guys what is wrong here?

I went back to the default template to see if it was something with the template im using and nothing, still the same thing.

Well Lynne you guys are always telling people to do a search so I did. Very confusing don't yah think ? lol....

For some reason only the person viewing the thread or forums will only show up in the who's browsing thread or forums.

It used to work before.

Yes, you should always do a search to see if your question is already answered (or if the mod already exists). But, if you don't find an answer that works for you, you should post a new thread.

I see several users listed under Current Active Users on your site. Only 11 of them are members though so it is hard to guess which forum those members are viewing. It is doubtful that they are all viewing the same forum or thread though, so what makes you think this is broken?

Understood about the new thread, thank you.

Well we were testing this function earlier by all of us viewing the same thread and to each person it only showed 1 person viewing the thread and that was the one person who was viewing, in other words , it would not show other members usernames but the person viewing said thread.

Hmmm, did you check the session table to verify that was the thread showing for where the user currently was?

Hello Lynne,

Yeep, we all stayed on that same thread for over 15 minutes while I checked to make sure the settings were all set to display users browsing the thread and nothing.

Very weird because it used to work before, I am going to disable plugins one by one now to see if one of them might be conflicting with this function.

I will come back and post what ever I run into Lynne, thanks a lot for taking your time to help out.

Ok Lynne I am back with an update.

I set the settings to what they should be to display members browsing , cleared the cache and it is working now.

Very weird but so far it's working like it should. Once again thank you for your help.
