FYI, A few internal code changes have been made (basically a tidy up).

There should not be any visible changes to the way things work, but the changes do have the potential to break things - hopefully everything is still working ok.

There have been a couple of minor updates yesterday and today.

The main modification display post has had a downloads count added. This counts the total downloads, and is not reset by file updates. A few things to note - its only been active for about 3 years, so any downloads prior to that will not be counted. It only counts php, zip, xml and text files. If a mod has multiple files, then downloading each will count. Due to some obviously quirky counts on odd files, a flood mechanism is now in place - a download will only count if that member last downloaded it at least 5 minutes previously.

The D/L count is always going to be higher than the install count because some people dont mark a file is installed, some download and then never use, and of course, everytime a mod is updated, everyone has to download it again. The older the mod, and the more updates it has, the bigger the gap will be. However, people keep wanting to see it, so now its there.

The other change is on the modification display on membes profiles - this will now show you which mods you have tagged, downloaded or installed (and any that are updated). As on the other thread listings, you can click on the status to change it.

Updated, Tagged & Downloaded will change to Installed.
Installed will change to UnInstalled.
You can also mark uninstalled mods as installed by clicking on the vb version.

Could you add members who've tagged this modification stat as well?

Also there seems to be an error; i've got a mod with no downloads attached, yet it shows people as having downloaded it. . .

Not atm.

Then you best add one as it will get removed - all modifications must be uploaded, even if its just a text file of instructions. In the meantime, that does seem a little odd, something I need to look into.

I will upload the instructions as soon as I have the time; but I didn't see this in the rules anywhere - could you perhaps check taht the rules haven't gotten lost somewhere as the only ones i found were teh general site rules.

Its been lost from the rulelist over time (we are already aware of this) - however, it still stands as a policy, so please update the mod.
