Why move it? Just make it for 4.0 and leave it for 3.8 where people are happy.

I don't think that odln018 means to remove this version after upgrading to vb4. Sure all my vb3 mods will remain here as I'm sure that for a long time vb3 will be active.

Can Rate a User be removed?
Yes, by changing all usergroup permissions to "No".

On Tuesday will be ready. But as I wrote above all vb3 mods will be free and all vb4 will be commercial in a low price.

This looks nice...but I wonder how long this is going to be supported. Don't you normally remove your mods from the site? Just asking....

You're totally right. The difference is in the meaning of "support". This mod is in life 3 years now, it has no bugs, the installation is a snap tested many times. The reason that I'm removing them, is that there are users who don't accept the fact that coders have their own private and business life and they want them here all the time. Sorry this is something that I can't guarantee. A bad example. On October I had an emergency surgery and I stayed hospitalization for 35 days. Even if I had internet access there, do you you think that I had the right mood or curage to come online even to read the posts?

Of course not. I'm not sure what member in their right mind would expect that. I'm talking about you removing your mods from the site...I can't recall which ones they were as I was just watching the thread for a bit before I went to install it...and when I did, you removed the files and everything in the post (I believe). I think that's happened to a few different mods of yours. I know you are talented coder but I don't want to install a mod that will later be removed for any reason. I hope you can see my concern.

Again I must admit that you're right. But to make the long story short. I love coding. Its my hobby. Even 50 years, having a family to care of, and a business to keep alive, it rests myself when I'm coding. The ideal for me it to code and share my mods, and coming back once a week reading suggestion to improve them. But if I say that I'm happy to read comments like "she has to login 4 days", or "why I can'y upload (99% because he hasn't CMOD the directories)", I'll be liar.

Just chose who you provide support to, Maria. Ignore users who don't click install and what not.
I've read why you removed your mods and I totally agree that its rude to remove branding / copyright.
Anyways, best of luck & nice mod =p

Thank you:) I'm much better after that shock, and some how I'm enjoying that I'll remain home for nearly 2 months. Nice chance to rest myself and ...make some mods:rolleyes:

I am planning on upgrading an installation of an older version of this script on a vbulletin 3.8 forums and I am wondering if there are any upgrade instructions or if I should follow the installation instructions as if this mod isn't already installed?

Same instruction, just don't forget to check "Overwrite" when importing xml file.

Done although I notice that our version number still sits at 1.0 (and the download here's xml code if opened also lists the product/module as version 1.0). Where is the 1.2 version listed in this thread?

Thanks for this great hack. I have a few issues (not bugs). I don't know how to resolve this.
1- These are my usergroups with the number of actual members in each usergroup in brackets:
Administrator (1)
Sponsors Category 1 (12)
Sponsors Category 2 (5)
Members (1673)
Banned Members (150)
Members not registered yet (12)
Other members (163)
Moderators (5)
Other sponsors (3)
Those are the groups we see but my problem is that I don?t want to see all these groups listed that way. Of course, there is an option in the hack where we can selects the usergroups we want to display but I would like this to be achieved in another way. Let me explain that to you:
What I would like to be listed is only:
Administrator (1)
Sponsors (17)
Members (1998)
Moderators (5)
Other Sponsors (3)
So this would be like combining these usergroups together:
Sponsors Category 1 (Usergroup ID = 9) + Sponsors Category 2 (Usergroup ID = 11)
Members (Usergroup ID = 2) + Banned Members (Usergroup ID = 8) + Members not registered yet (Usergroup ID = 1) + Other Members (Usergroup ID = 13)
How to achieve this?
2- Then, my second problem is the fact that all these usergroups listed in point #1 are clickable, so the resulting pages should also reflect the selection of these combined usergroups when clicking on them.

PLEASE.... ( Donations will be made of course )
Make this available for 4.0.
The standard version on 4.0 looks like crap .. as usual.

What if I say that it's ready 10+ days now? But there is a bug, and I don't like to release rubishes. Logon users can see, search and rate ok, but not logon users, still works but pushes the data on the right of the screen. So, I'm trying to find out what causes this bug.
As for donations:D Let me laught. Since Oct 2006, I've released around 20 mods, most of them fully working modules (and not just simple plugins), and I've got just 1 (One) donation:)

I just installed this but I dont see anywhere how to rate a member and how to search for a member those options are not even showing up in my memberindex.php and yes they are enabled in the hacks settings.
Also I would like to be able to add more then just the admin group id for the meet the staff but rather include the usergroups of my other staff members such as moderators and super moderators

Due to lack of free time, I must decrease the time that I'm spending here for support. By having a long thread for each of my 16 mods, most often I'm bypassing questions. That's why for urgent questions please visit my site (http://www.microhellas.com/), where it's easier to support you, by having a thread per question.
Thank you
Maria
