heya,

is is permited to host vb mods on google code?

im guessing no, as mods can only be accessed to license holders?

You are free to post your own code wherever you want.

However, I'd imagine that if you want to post a mod here, you cannot only have the code hosted elsewhere; you'd need to include an archive here, too.

can someone officially confirm this?

I'm not saying I will, but Google Code has some nice tools and etc so I was considering.

Also, having a vb product with hooks and all, and the install instructions file usually contain some of the vb code, very little but it has. That's not considered posting vb code elsewhere would it?

The modification itself (e.g. product XML, images, PHP files, etc.) must be attached to the modification post if posted at vBulletin.org. You can choose to mirror files elsewhere if you want to.

You can however not have default vBulletin code on public viewable sites.
