What was changed before this started?
Was their any server maintenance?
Did you switch on/off compression in your vBulletin Options in your AdminCP?
Did you install a new style/modification/vB version?

Things don't "just change" when everything is the same. Are you the only one to experience this problem or is it the same for everyone?
Maybe post a link.

Seems, there is nothing in your public_html directory

How would I fix that?
Would that just happen by itself or has someone been stuffing with my site?

If you can login to your site FTP ex. FileZilla, and there are files there, then your folders and files must be CHMODDED to 777 or something. Happened to one of my friends before. Should check your files.

What do I put in the "port" section
Is username and password the same ones I use to access my site?

You will need to contact your host as your database seems to be read-only, that would be the first that needs to be resolved and i have the feeling there are more problems on this server.

It resolved itself, it started working fine this morning all on its own.
Who would be my "host" ?
