I know we don't want to ask over and over about mod updates or when a VB4 version might be coming out.

But I might assume that *some* mods might actually work with VB4 simply because they do not use templates or other items?

Do you think it would be appropriate to start a discussion about which mods work in VB4?

An example that I will be testing is.

Create New Thread with New Member.

I would think a 3.8 version of this might work with VB4 (maybe not due to DB changes, but I guess I'll find out).

Just curious if this would be considered a violation of the posted VB4 guidelines.

I don't see a problem with having a thread where users post modifications that will work on vb4 as is.

Well with the template/code changes I don't see very many mods from 3.x.x to work on the new 4.0 Mostly all will need some kind of edit to make it work correctly.

But thats just my opinion.

I completely agree... But take for example vbOptimizer.
A major mod...

But in general, it has nothing to do with templates - so in theory, it might just work in VB4.
I know, nothing is that simple, but you never know unless you ask...

Andreas' Template Modification System works just fine.
