When a regular user tries to acces "New Posts" the following message appears: "Invalid Forum specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator".

Although, administrator doesn't have this problem. I think is something with permissions and new posts in the moderators forum.

Any clue in how to solve this issue?

Thanx a lot in advance.

Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Thanks for the quick response, Lynne.

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work either. I'm going crazy with this issue.

Do you have any sort of seo installed? If so, remove the lines from the htaccess file and see if that fixes it.

Also, look at your page source - what is the exact url showing up in there for the New Posts?

I have vbseo, but nothing about it in .htaccess

The URL is /search.php?do=getnew

I just figured out that I get an empty result when searching *anything* also as a regular user. With an admin user I don't have any of these problems.

Disable vbseo (I am pretty sure there are htaccess edits that go with it) and see if you still have the problem.

Also, you can try this - Create a new style with no parent:

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

The template thing didn't worked.
Also I disabled *all* the plugins (including vbseo)... didn't worked.

This is my .htaccess:

Options All -Indexes
ErrorDocument 404 /404.html

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^category/([0-9]+).html/?$ index.php?category=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^news/([0-9]+).html/?$ index.php?news=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^all/?(.*)$ index.php?view_all&$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^print/([0-9]+).html/?$ index.php?news=$1&mode=print [L]
RewriteRule ^comments/([0-9]+).html/?$ index.php?comments=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^author/([^<]+).html/?$ index.php?author=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ plugins/sitemap/index.php [L]
RewriteRule ^files/(.*)$ files.php?file=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^feed/?$ index.php?feed=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap/?$ index.php?site_map [L]
RewriteRule ^sitemap/pagina/(.*)$ index.php?site_map&p=$1 [L]

RewriteRule ^futbol/sudamericana/ficha(.*).html$ df/sudamericana/fichas/ficha$1.html [L]

Have you tried temporarily removing the .htaccess file to see if that makes the problem go away?

Yes I did.

If you are using a default style with all your plugins off and your htaccess disabled and you still have the problem, then you should put in a support ticket.
