where to add code of in-line ads

I want to know in which template i shd ad codes for in-line ads?

ad network like chitika, infolinks tell to put in body not in head.

what does that mean? in vbulletin in which template will give best results?

I'm adding in header template.

chitika has perheps removed inline ads.

infolinks ads are well in header/footer..

and adding infolinks tags in header is best.
