Note: If you choose to only use vBulletin forums with vBadvanced, then this will work. If you use the suite, it may not work. I will test it out on the suite version soon.

Go to http://www.vbadvanced.com and download the beta release of their CMPS!

vBa 4.0.0 Beta 1 is now released!

Description: This is a quick mod that allows you to show your game servers on the vBadvanced portal page using a module.

Installation time: Less than 3 minutes.

Install:

1. Go to your AdminCP
2. On the left sidebar, go to your vBa CMPS drop-down menu and click on Add Module
3. Then click on "Template Module"
4. Now set it up like this:

Module Title: The name you want
Active: Yes
Template to Include: adv_portal_servername
Style: Choose the style(s) that you want by holding the Control key and using the mouse to choose more than one style

Note: Go to www.gametracker.com and make sure your server is in your favorites and get your IP and Port Ready!

Template Content:

<div class="blockrow">
<!-- Start GameTracker Banner -->
<iframe src="http://cache.www.gametracker.com/components/html0/?host=ENTER SERVER IP AND PORT HERE&bgColor=1F2642&titleBgColor=11172D&borderColor=333333&fontColor=8790AE&titleColor=FFFFFF&linkColor=FF9900&borderLinkColor=999999&showMap=1&showCurrPlayers=1&showTopPlayers=1&showBlogs=0&width=160&height=470" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="160" height="470"></iframe>
<!-- End GameTracker Banner --></div>

Note: Enter your IP and port where it says to in the code and you can change the color variations as well.

The rest of the settings is up to you.

Hit save and continue and set up where you want to display your new module on your homepage.

Done!

I'm sorry you've probably put this in the wrong forum. This is for vbulletin version 4 customizations. Vbadvanced has not yet been released for vb4. :)

I think its in the right area as the note above describes it may not work with the suite witch is only a 4.0 product.

This modification is for VBADVANCED, which hasn't been released for vb4. The only version available right now, only works with vb3.8, so this is in the wrong forum.

This seems logical to me, so can the author please confirm how this works on vb4 when vba is not available for vb4 ?

This code should still work when vba releases their new CMPS come time when vBulletin releases 4.0 to Gold status. I have reviewed their code for the current versions of vBa. Unless they re-code their modules, I do not forsee any problems with this code. Remember, this is a template module and not a .php module, so it still should work.

However, if the VBA code changes for an unknown reason, I will alter this code so that compatibility issues will be taken care of. Remember, this is for vBa and NOT for the suite version of vBulletin 4.0.0

Thank you for bringing this to my attention though. I will monitor their progress very closely and when their software for the Gold vB is released, I will check it asap.

Can the code just be put in to a Widget for 4.0?

Code is now updated for vB4 with use of vBadvanced v4.0.0 Beta 1.

You can do this through static html and widget creation.
This is a HOW-TO article more, than it is a template modification....

Even so, I would still have to post it here so people can use it. I don't know what you are trying to imply.

I'm scratching my head on this one. Gametracker (http://www.gametracker.com) produces code for any server and the code can be put into any block or module to produce the same thing as your screen shot shows.

Yes it's compatible with 4.13 basically it's the HTML code gametracker gives you he's just showing everyone how to do it. But yes it works.

Tagged it for later. This could come in handy for my gaming site down the road.
