Hey everyone, as I am working on a new custom theme for my website I found several things about vBulletin.org that i really liked and i wanted to incorporate into my theme. As there seems to be very little information on how to do some of these things so i decided to share what i have come up with.

I will be supporting this mod for quite a while and when i finish my theme i will be able to give a link to a demo. Until then sadly i will only be able to provide screen shots. If anyone who installs this and would like to give a demo for others feel free to pm me with a link to provide.

*Do note that it will not work flawlessly with all themes.

Before you start check the following templates in the theme you are looking to edit. If the templates are black in the box where you select which template to edit then you should be fine. If not don't be discouraged it might just require a little extra work.
FORUMHOME
FORUMDISPLAY
FORUMHOME_FORUMBIT_LEVEL1_NOPOST
FORUMHOME_FORUMBIT_LEVEL2_POST

I have put this into multiple parts as i will have multiple small mods for people who want to put certain aspects of vBulletin.org theme into there theme.

File: Forum Theme
This file includes a full tutorial on how to make there forums set up just like vBulletin.org. This will put spaces between different sections and combine but together two categories when creating separate pages like in image "After(Sub-Category)"

I will only help people who have clicked installed.

The only thing I'd be interested with this site/template would be to get their forum tab system.

Glad to hear you like it.

I actually just got done with that. I will be adddding that tutorial later, But when setting up your forum like vBulletin.org did without using these theme moddifications it looks pretty bad.

From your screen grabs, the only thing I can see that has been done is the colours set up as .org (ie header, nav bar etc) has theirs... is this right? I'm not being funny and its not a trick question, as I was trying to achieve something similar earlier today..

I cant really explain what it does very well but if you look at the titles of forums note the titles are switched around like vBulletin.org and there is spacing between each forum. It also combines categories on when displaying sub-catagories which is how you use the separate tabs like vBulletin.org does. It sounds confusing but it will make a little more sense when looking at the images.

It's a "Separate Forum Categories" mod.

it does a little more, combining category headers that have no posts like vBulletin.org does

I'm sorry, could you explain this in more detail? I honestly don't understand.

That was my first thought too, if there's no issues with category spacings and the extra bar etc then it would be useful for this alone..

Yes please, as I donn't understand either?
