Thank you this fixed the problem of it not showing up in the user profile.. Why doesnt someone just update this mod so it works properly in the newest version. Would save a lot of unnecessary questions
The owner of the MOD is the only one who can update their own code. :)

This works real good for me in the latest 4.2.1 I use. I would love this to work in the Blogs and Calendars too...

The following dependencies were not met:
This product is not compatible with version 4.2.1 of vBulletin. (Compatible starting with 4.0.0 alpha 1 / Incompatible with 4.1.0 alpha 1 and greater)
Or at least that is what was displayed..

Yes, you can get round it quite easily.
Download the mod, then open the .xml file in a text editor. Look for the Dependencies section, not far from the beginning
<dependencies>
<dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.0.0 alpha 1" maxversion="4.2.99" />
</dependencies>
Change the maxversion to 4.2.99, as I have done in the snippet above. Save the amended .xml file.
Now you can install the product in any vBulletin 4.2.x version
This fixed it. Thanks!

Works ok on 4.2.0! Thanks.
You have to change the product xml first though to allow the version.
When viewing a user's permissions etc, select "log in as user" from the drop down.
thank you! Saved me a ball ache

I seem to have run into a problem with this mod. I am running v4.2.1 and was logged in as a regular user. While viewing another users profile the "Login as this user" link appeared on the left side, and it appeared to work. I was logged in as a non-administrator!
I uninstalled the mod, downloaded it again and reinstalled, following the instructions to deal with the maxversion. I then set the administrator permissions. Now the option to login as a user does not appear either in the profile or the user control panel for administrators. Not sure what to do at this point.

I did the edit as instructed above, edited the Admin Permissions and when I go to a user's profile there is nothing there stating log in as user

Can this be adapted or added to other mods like Ozzy's Review system? I find it difficult having to login as others to post stuff on their behalf.

Use that.
I have it on vbulletin 4.2.3 and it works fine (no changes needed).
You just need to import the XML :)
And if you want, adjust the appropriate settings form AdminCP.

Hi,
Will this work for vbulletin 5.x.x
I highly doubt it...in fact the only thing keeping me from saying no with certainty is that I have not tried to install it using vB 5.x. :)
There are simply far too many difference in vB 4.x and vB 5.x for products to be inter-compatible.

Works well on 4.2.3 PL2. If it isn't working for you, go to Options and scroll down to the options page for the plugin and check that your user ID is included in the list of admins permmitted to use the plug in (Set Admins). I was logged in as a different admin to the primary and thus couldn't get it to work for a couple of minutes until I noticed this and added my userid to the list with commas. HTH
Just incase if anyone wonders. It's working on 4.2.5 :)
