Allow the admins/moderators to view all Visitor Messages of a particular user. After installation, go to your User CP, select New Items > Visitor Messages and you will now have an input box for the Userid. This one is for 4.0. I released another for 3.8, athough I don't think I allow you to input the username, only the userid (I can't remember which one).

I'm sure you could write a cron job/scheduled task.

You didnt mention in the first post so let me ask here... As you said only admin/mod will use this feature.. do we get an option to set which admin and which mod will see this...
because it is usable via usercp not admin or mod cp

This is just an extension of an existing feature. Currently admins/mods can view visitor messages but they can't search them by username. All this does is add that option to the default Display Options.

Lynne, this is listed in the New Items and Moderated Items both. Is that by design?

If it works in both, then yes it was by design. :)
Honestly, I can't remember which I wrote it for. It was just for listing VMs by a user, and I am thinking the target was just for New Items. But, if it works in Moderated Items also, then I suppose that is OK. I actually don't even use this on my site. :/

How do I up the limit of 200? I get an error if I try to delete anything higher than 200 Visitor messages at a time from this feature.

I'm guessing it is a limit in the software. So, you'd have to find the code in the files and change it there. There is no setting in this modification for it.

Are you using a default style with no other modifications? This is working fine on my 4.2.2 test site.

Could not get this mod visible in my 4.2.1 installation. Looked in many places, it was n't really clear to me where I would expect to see it, perhaps a screen shot of where in the menu system it should appear.

"go to your User CP, select New Items > Visitor Messages and you will now have an input box for the Userid. " The image in the first post is what you should see there. Here is a bigger picture of the page:
