I've looked all over the admin panel and cant figure it out (3.8).
Does anyone know where I have to go to set that a new user can't send a private message until he/she has posted at lest 10 times?

Thanks

There is no admin option. You want to create a new usergroup based off the Registered users group, copy all permissions, etc. Then setup a promotion from Registered to the New Group after 10 posts and run it. Now take away PM permissions from the Registered usergroup.

Also you can download a modification for this, so users who have less then X posts can't send PM

Anybody know what mod Alex is talking about, I cannot find it.

I know it can be done via usergroup promotions but I can't do that due to how vB integrates with my site, so I need to retain the default usergroup structure.

I have created such a mod but it is for vb 4. Try to remove the following code from the xml file and give it a go. Hopefully it will work on a 3.8 version as well. But test it first at your test forum

<dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.0.0" maxversion="5.0.0" />

Sorry for dumb question but I created a usergroup and will do the promotion setup to prevent spammer to send PMs, but I cannot find the option in the usergroup to disable PMs. Where is it?

thanks,
Joey
