Up until today i have had a major amount of users registering and wanting to be moderated and it ranges from 64 - 100 users a day to to moderate?? So whats with this now? Any fixes

Why are you so sure that those are bots and not people?

try stopforumspam.com - they have linked to a plugin that stopped 95% of my spambots
