I recently installed a modification on my forum, and as the modification didn’t work out as I anticipated, I removed it.
Now the problem is as I try to log on but I can’t logon! Before it was like this on the main page I inserted my username and password and logged in and it showed me the same page! But after clicking the refresh button of my browser, I could enter the forum. But now after uninstalling this mod Forum is not redirecting to main page, it shows that the insterted username and password are correct and then shows the same page and then I refresh but nothign happens. Although I can enter through admincp and from there by clicking on to go to forum homepage can enter the main forum. I need help to solve this problem. I tried to upload main forum without graphic files but still the same problem. I will be ever so grateful if you can assist.

You should post in the modification thread and see if anyone else has experienced this.

yes but I dont want to use the mod any more and made sure its out of the system, but I have this problem revolving on my head is there a way out of it or not ? that is the question.

I have no idea what is involved in installing that mod or uninstalling that mod - uninstalling doesn't always mean just uninstalling the product file. That is why I suggested posting in the thread. They may have suggestions on what you should do. All I can tell you is to make sure you uninstalled the modification correctly. And, I'll also tell you that to play it safe, it is always best to do a database backup prior to installing a mod.

well thank you ever so much for your good advise , I have been in contact with the guys for many days and thay dont reply back thats why I gave up and uninstalled the mod, but now the problem is that the main enterence is messed up I mean one can go in log on but insted of takeing it in it still stays on the logon page. do you have any idea how I can solve this problem. I mean its a glich some where but question is how I can fix it.

I have no idea. It sounds like either a cookie issue or an htaccess issue to me. But again, since I have no clue what you have done, I really can't offer much more than that.

I have just found out that its only on this laptop its acting strange I tried logging on to my forum form another pc and it all works fine. I tried installing firefox besides IE explorer and to my amazement it also works so I guess its a cookie issue but only for my IE Browser, others have no problems in logging in ! I guess I have to format my pc !

More reasons to switch from IE to firefox! No need to format.

It's just that you have slow Internet Connection.
