Forums & Moderators >> Forum Manager >> edit the specific Forum/Category that you want to change the style for >> the 3rd area of the Forum Admin is the Style Options.

is it possible to make each catagory like a forum on its own ?

what i want is say a forums for GOW alone, then a forum for COD on its own and same for halo

each forum would share the same database but have different groups, leaders, style

If you set the forum/category display to 0, then it won't show up on the forums list (like the mods category here doesn't show up on the forums list). Then you can just have a direct link to the forum/category (like there is a direct link to the mods forum here).

i dont like the look of the sub-forums and sub-sub-forums

when i click a catagory you see the sub-forums and sub-sub-forums,if it was possible to have a sub-forum act as a catagory then great

so when you view it you see the sub-forum and the sub-sub-forums are in that and not under it,if you know what i mean ?

I don't know what you mean, but have you tried playing with the option in vboptions > forum listings display options?

what i mean is like on here for ex

news and announcements - catagory
click that
it shows the forums and sub-forums on same page

i dont like how it looks like that

i wanted for it to show each catagory
when clicked it shows the forum alone so when clicked on here it would only show news and announcements and pre-sales questions
,no sub-forums

you would then click say news and announcements to show what sub-forums are in that

so maybe for me it would be

XBOX 360 - Catagory - click that and it shows

GOW
COD
HALO 3

no sub-forums

Click GOW and it shows sub-forums for challenges us,join us,etc

if that explains it better for what i would like

OK, so did you play with those settings I mentioned? I am pretty sure those will do what you want.

after messing around i came up with the following, let me know if i came close to what you want :D
in the screen shots, the red arrows means im clicking that link.

forumhome:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/11/44.jpg

XBOX 360
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/11/45.jpg

GOW - and sub forum

p.s you can remove the word "Sub-Forums"

nearly there, the only thing if possible is on the last screen shot it shows "Challenges Us"
if possibe do away with the threads, so in that screen shot you would ONLY have

Challenge Us
Join Us
Match Reports
etc

and when clicked on each 1 you would then be able to create a new thread

or again on last screen shot

do away with the sub-forum so it just has the threads

this is pretty tricky to do, and to even explain but i think its possible to do by linking new forums that are set to "0" its up to if you would like me to set your forum up to how you want it or i can try my best to explain which im sure will be to hard to understand.
feel free to pm me i'll be quite happy to help out ;)
