Suddenly, spammers started fillling my forums with thousands of posts about pharmaceuticals and porn. I have looked thru anti spam tools and I can't find a single one that will scan my entire forum and delete spam posts... Can you suggest a good script/mod for this?

1- Go to www.recaptcha.net (http://www.recaptcha.net) create an account and add your forum link.

2- copy the private and public key given after adding your forum link.

3- Go to your forum's AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Human Verification Manager :

choose "reCAPTCHA? Verification" and click "SAVE" then you will see 2 input spaces, one for the public key and another for the private key, add the keys you copied over there and click "SAVE"

4- logout and try to register, check if everything works fine.

you'll never have a bot registered in your forum again.

I hope it helps.

No way to do it AFAIK. HOWEVER, when you ban the spammers you can delete all of their posts at the same time (per account of course).

In addition, you can search the forum for certain keywords that they're using and mass delete them that way as well.

Do you mean there's a way to delete ALL the posts of ALL banned users at the same time?

You can do one user at a time easily by going to their profile and using the drop down box at top and Delete User or you can search for their posts and delete first.

Your best bet would be find a common word in the spam posts and search forum and then mass delete them.

If you're getting slammed that bad though, get your Human Verification working quick.

When I orginally had this problem, I used "One-Touch Spam Ban and Cleanup"....
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=156444
You'll have to go and clean up all of them one by one.... but this one kills all the post
everywhere (PM's, Posts...ect), I really like this one...

Now I use "vbStopForumSpam".... WOW..This is the best program ever.....

In 3.8.x when you select a post and select delete post as spam, it gives you the option to delete all of their posts and ban them as well.

+1 to vBStopForumSpam. It won Mod of the Month with 50% of the votes last month!

you could always load a backup of the forum from before the spam bots, than install some more spam protection
There are a few articles on vb.org, in the article section
I'd look them up before it happens again ;)

good luck!

I totally agree with this because this is the process that I also do to delete spam posts. You can open one post, select to delete all the posts by that user, and ban them at the same time.
