What about a script that will simply return hot topics and topics with 0 replies in a list like this:

&nbsp;°<a href="http://www.somesite.com/showthread.php?threadid=1">Thread title 1</a><br>

&nbsp;°<a href="http://www.somesite.com/showthread.php?threadid=2">Thread title 2</a><br>

&nbsp;°<a href="http://www.somesite.com/showthread.php?threadid=3">Thread title 3</a><br>

And in the same breath be able to output a listing of all forums with their names and a link to them (also for use on homepage)

I used to have this for ubb so that I could display hot topics and dead topics on the homepage.

Anyone think they know enough about the vb databse structure to do this?

Expect to get your ass flamed for the [REQUEST]. Brackets are only sposed to go around [RELEASE]

I don't think what you want would be too terribly difficult to do, in fact you could prolly adapt shri's Active Threads topic quite easily to do it.

Thanks

Not rule, just an annoyance. :)

I'll throw some code together tomorrow probably - don't feel like looking around the tables to find what I need now.

could you Ed :D ... cause i mean i can't seem to get wanderer's Active topic hack to work with /forums/ directory only /forum directory so all my threads are redirected to my frontpage (404 redirects) :(
