Xmas Rouge

This Skin was released in the past, it was removed due to various reasons, I am very pleased to be able to offer this Skin to this community as a free download.

I know it is a bit early for releasing a Christmas Skin but I am doing so as I am execting a rush of work in the next couple of weeks and will most likely not have the time to get it ready for you all, so here it is.

The download contains the logo .psd as well as button .psd's.

Hey anyone having a problem with the screen shot link????

Every time I click to view it, it launches Microsoft office 2000 installer??!?!?!?!?

Very confused over this!

Now I am even more confused...when I clicked to see if this screen shot was too small....that launched the office installer too!

Must be on my side, although each time I clicked on of the links it downloaded a file by that name as well as running the installer, but then states an error in the preview screen....weird!!!!

Sorry you have experienced problems with the demo image, I have no idea why you're having that problem, the demo image 'link' is an attachment here, maybe you were experiencing connectivity problems.

You need to uploaded the graphics to:
root/yourforum/themes/xmas-rouge/*.*

I have re-packaged the download to include the following:

The popup menus do not work. When clicked nothing happens. This seems to be a global thing.

Did you follow the install guide!
Have you made any alterations to the template files or the css?

I cannot help you unless you tell me what you did to make the Skin look like this.

well to the best of my ability i follow the directions ... I notice that it appears that the .gifs and .png stuff does not load.

everything shows up in the folders as it is stated ..

ok the upload was bad .. that was problem did it twice and then switch to different brand of FTP software.. there are couple little things ... the width, we have used full width as we have no side boxes ..

Personally I find 100% width looks bad with custom Skins, but as many people like full width most of my Skins can easily become 100%, follow this simple guide.

Go to the additional css in the style manager for Xmas Rouge.
FIND:
#wrap {

INLINE FIND:
width: 1100px;

REPLACE WITH:
width: 100%;

thank you for your patients .. as i am learning on the fly ... I chose to do 90% that works great .. the only thing i needed to do was add the Arcade button to the Navbar and Thanks button is only thing left to address .. do you happen to have a chrstmas one ??

I've followed all the instructions to install this into my forum, vb.3.8.4 patch L1, made a themes folder first, done everything correctly regards the Readme file and when I preview its still the default theme showing.

I changed the image paths -

Example: images/buttons/ to themes/xmas_rouge/buttons

I changed all the image url's but it still wont show.

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, no problem, follow this precisely.

Click Admin link in footer.
In the menu to the left click the little arrow next to Styles & Templates to expand the submenu
Click Style Manager
Locate Xmas Rouge
To the right of Xmas Rouge you see a selection menu, it should already say All Style Options, click the GO button.
Now scroll down the page until you see a two large entry fields with the heading Additional CSS Definitions
In the 2nd box entitled (Customized in this Style), scroll down within the box until you see this:
/* WARNING DO NOT ALTER WRAP WIDTH */
#wrap {
padding: 0 0px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
min-width: 1100px;
width: 1100px;
}

Change:
width: 1100px;
To:
width: 100%;

Scroll down to the actual bottom of the page and click save.

When you import the xml as a new Skin named Xmas Rouge you do not need to edit any variable paths, they are all handled by the xml.
Could you tell me how you imported the xml and can you link me to your site where the install failed.
