Moving My Forum Location

okay so ive decieded to switch my site up.. my site is currently www.hiphopgenerals.com
but im replacing this with a html page, therefore i need to move my forum root to something like.. www.hiphopgenerals.com/forum

to do this i would.. creat a foler name "forum" on my server and move all files to there ? what else must i do to make everything move over smoothly... thanks in advance.

Create the forum folder but before moving the files you need to go to your vBull Admin CP go to vBulletin Options and select show all settings. Then change the forum url to your desired url. Then change the cache path to fit. Then move all the files over to the forum folder u created. That should do it.

If you have image problems, check the style settings for hard coded url's, along with smilies, post icons, attachments, avatars, albums.
Moving your forum could make you lose SEO.
