Hello everyone :)
I'm using vb v3.7 at the moment and I want to upgrade to v3.8.
However, having never upgraded a vbulletin board before I have a question - does upgrading my version mean I'll lose some data, such as threads, posts, or skins?
Thanks!

NO, you will lose nothing.
just make sure after you upload all your files that you click upgrade.php ;)

And, of course, you're backing up your database daily anyway, right? And your whole site monthly? So I don't need to remind you to do a backup before upgrading.

On shared hosting, I back up the whole site as part of my monthly maintenance routine via Cpanel.

When i upgrade, I do sql backup, then i upload files and run upgrade.php. I have never lost anything and i have always left my forum open, members don't even realize I am upgrading except for a few glitches in my chatbox. Usually takes about a minute to run the upgrade script. You will loose nothing upgrading.
