Do 3.8 modifications work on the new to be 4.0 ?

Hello all,

I am new to vBulletin and just got it, and I must say at first hand it is amazing!

I have a question, I see you guys have addons and modifications and what not, I am curious if these modifications will work on the 4.0 Suite that is coming out soon, I have pre-ordered that.

So for example do 3.8 addons/modifications will work on 4.0 ? If not anything needed to be done to fix this?

Hey Bouncer,

This question has been answered many times (not a dig at you - just a statement).

If the modification involved templates then it's more than likely it needs to be rewritten as templates hold a totally new structure.

Some code-modifications should be okay.
