vb blog recent posts ?

Hey everyone , is there anything out there that i can add to my template that will show a list of 8 recent blog posts ?

Also where the hell is setting to add the blog stats in the who's online section ?

I cant seem to find it

Sorry just incase you needed to know im using 2.0.2 version of the blog and the latest version of the forum
