How do i make my search engine better??

Hi,

If a member search for something on my forum i.e.: harry potter then the search result are to many topics without to have some to do with the search key words..

How do i fix that?

What type of search do you have enabled on your site (vbulletin or full text)? If you are using full text search, try putting things like Harry Potter in quotes, ie "Harry Potter" and see if that helps. You may want to turn on boolean searching also (usergroup manager) and see if that helps.

Thanks Lynne that boolean search help's me very much.I hope i dont get server load's or troubles..?
