Users cannot sign up and cannot log in

I'm having two seperate problems

1) Users cannot sign up to my forum as it says there email is banned, when these users have never signed up to my forum before... and i've checked the banned list and there email is not on there..

2)Users cannot log in properly, they will log in and it will take them to a 'welcome screen' then it will log them out again, so they cannot post/do anything

For the second issue it may be cookie issue.

In "Cookies and HTTP Header Options" path to save cookie should be "/" and cookie domain should be left "(Blank)"

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly

I've just check the settings on the cookies and they are as you stated

this error only happens in certain browsers and in certain locations, for example firefox i'm usually fine logging in, and IE i'm not :s - and on one internet connection i'm fine and another i'm not....

Try this:
Create a new style with no parent:

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save

Set this style as default so users who come to the site see it and it is the style being used for login. Have them login. See if they still have the same problem after logging in using this default style.
