I want my users to be able to upload a video and have it posted on the thread upon uploading. I have seen this on another forum where when the user clicks new thread there is a upload video option and a upload picture option. Then once the video is uploaded it displays a flash player and plays the video. Is there such a modification or is this some custom coding. Please let me know. Thanks

Do you mean to actually upload the video to your site and have it play in some sort of player? That is not a default vbulletin function. You may upload videos, however they will not automatically be shown in a video player. In vB4, you will have bbcode built in to play videos from youtube and similar (there is a list of sites over on vb.com), but these are videos on other sites that will show up in a player, not videos a person attaches/uploads to your own site.

I to am looking for this. ( For a tutorial site ) So I can offer my members video tutorials as well.
And maybe have the option of letting a select group upload as well ?
Any ideas, I would be most grateful ?
Thanks,

Yes I want the user when creating a new thread to have a upload video option. Then the user will upload the video and it will convert it to flash and display the video in the flash player on the thread. I am not wanting a user to embed videos from other sources. Is there any kind of mod for this. It is something must needed for me.

To be honest, I don't know if there is a mod to do this. I have seen other users talk about something like this, but don't know if something was ever released to do so. If you saw this on another forum, you may want to send a nice PM and ask if they are using a public modification to do it or if it was a custom modification. They may tell you exactly what one they use.

Yeah I already did email someone and I just got a reply saying it was custom coded. I sent him a email saying if I could purchase that mod but haven't got a reply and not sure that I will. Otherwise the only other option is they could add it as a attachment and would have to be downloaded right? Lynne if I buy the vbulletin license can someone create that mod for me is there people that creates custom mods? Let me know I have been searching for this feature but I am having no luck.

Yes, there are people who will create custom mods. We have aModification Requests (Unpaid) (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=112) forum and Requests For Paid Services (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=30) forum which you may post in once you show up as licensed.

Please, if someone knows of one, Please post.

Hey Thanks,
I have done that before. ( embedding a flash video ), but that's a whole lot of work, because I'd have to do it for everyone I upload.
Still may have to go that route as BAD as I'd hate to though.
Naw..................Surely not....................hahahahaha
As big and smart as I've seen these coders / programmers on this forum, no way there isn't one somewhere. :)
Thanks,
