Direct to social group

I tried to search if this exists, coudnt find anything. Is it possible to have a mod that would suggest users to a certain social group based on the location they signup from?

Like create a user profile feild and list things like the 50 states, canada, uk, etc. when they click one upon registration , in there welcome pm maybe it could suggest something like

" based on your registration we feel you may like the following social groups "

1 test social group
2. test social group
3. etc
4. etc

well if you wanted to create a catagory for each nation, or were willing to manually tag each group with a nation then yes I could probably make something like this. Otherwise I probably cant help.

Such as a group called canada vb was created,
you would need to tag it Canada.
