Hi,

I am currently starting a security company and looking to put a forum on my website.
I once saw a forum where there were vacancies advertised on a forum post by the admin, on the post there were a number of buttons depending on the number of positions available, and the posts were split into Male and Female and other, so for example, if 50 positions were available, 30 males and 20 females, there would be 30 buttons in the male column to click and 20 in the female column to click. Once a member was logged in, they could opt to work by clicking the button, this registered their agreement to work. If they then could not work for any reason, they could go back and un register their offer to work.
Is this possible to do with the vBulletin software?

Regards,

Chris

I would guess that would be possible if it was coded. If you are asking if vbulletin has something like that built in by default, then No, it does not.

This is the reply i got from the service department before i posted the question on here guys:

"This requires modifying the code (i.e., 'hacks', plugins, or template
modifications). We can't offer official support for code modifications or for
forums running modified code. We do however have a customization site and
forums with people that may be willing to help you with this."

Basically it is a standard forum, whereby the admin can post a post asking registered users to register to work by clicking a button on the post.
Depending on how many vacancies are available, this will change the number of buttons in the forum post.
Once a registered user has clicked on the button, the button disappears and is replaced by their username, thereby confirming they want to work. If circumstances change, only admin or the user that registered for work can remove the username and replace it back with a button so other people can register for work.

Hope this makes sense.

And basically the answer is the same - you will have to have someone code this for you. I have not seen anything like this before.
