Hi there...
I have installed vB Ad management and it shows up in my CP and all but I don't know how or what to do with it in order to get my header Banner Advertisement up. I know it needs some type of BBcode but im not educated in it so im lost.
Please help.
Thanks!

In your admincp in ad management choose header. Then enter your ad code into the box.
You will see " Choose Yes to enable header advertisements. " Below it. Click yes. After that
Hit the update preview button and see if your advertisement works.

Thanks for the feedback... that is the problem... all I have is a banner I designed... how do I make BBcode for it or rather what do I write...
Like I said... all I have is the ad banner that I made in .gif format... so what do I do in order to write BBcode for it.
Thanks Mate

<div align="
center"><img src="image link goes here"></div>
Replace image link goes here with your image link if you have uploaded it somewhere.

K Great Stuff...
Thanks mate... it kind of works... the prob I have now is that my header is where the logo for my forum is... I want it below the navbar... I have moved the code to there now but it's not appearing on the forum... when I test it in the CP it shows up but not in the forum itself...
Also...(and this will be my last request...) how do I get it right so that when they click on the advert it takes them to the website advertised... what is the code and where should I put it in?
Thanks again mate... really appreciate the effort!

Whats your website link? okay replace it with.
<div align="center"><a href="http://www.yoursite.com"><img src="image link goes here"></a></div>
In your navbar template make sure you have this in there somewhere.$template_hook[navbar_buttons_left] Then go back to your ad management, click on navbar. Where it says navbar inclusion, select the first option.

Thanks again. You should be a damn Mod!

AdminCp > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Your Style > Navigation & Breadcrumb Templates > navbar
In there, find $template_hook[navbar_buttons_left] Make sure its in there. If its not you can choose a custom location or hook.

OK I found 4 $template_hooks but none of them were button ones...
So must I add it? If so were... if not then how do I choose a custom location...
Soz for the noob questions but you have to start somewhere...
Cheers

It should look like this, make sure its there. In the navbar template.
$template_hook[navbar_buttons_left]
<if condition="$show['communitylink'] AND $show['popups']">
Also in Ad manager, click on navbar. You will see " Navbar inclusion " and a drop downl menu below it on the right. make sure the selected one is $template_hook[navbar_buttons_left]

K double checked in the Navigation & Breadcrumb Templates > navbar section and the template hook that you are talking about is not in there.
Also the Ad management does not have a navbar inclusion in its menu under "Header and Navbar"

Then link the other dude to the ad management post. He can do it. And if you want to add your banner, the follow those instructions ;)

Ok got it right and everything is working great...
Only thing left to ask is how do I get the banner to open in a new window instead of redirecting them from the forum to the website.
Thanks
