I viewed my forum with IE after i requested a review and seen the issues that i do not see in firefox that i always use. one of my missing images has the url posted above with tahttp instead of http . i searched templates and could not find the tahttp anywhere. any ideas?

I don't believe that would be in a template. Try going to AdminCP > Post Icons > Post Icon Manager and make sure your URLs are correct for those images

i did, the image and url is fine and viewable. for some reason vb is calling for tahttp instead of http when calling for the image.
ok, here is what i came up with, IE sux!
I view my forum with firefox, it looks perfect and all images are correct, i view the same with IE, i get errors and wrong images. even my forum_new_lock.gif image displays incorrectly with IE.
try it yourself www.apphunters.com and have a look.
I have been browsing the forums here and see others with issues using Internet Explorer.

Exactly what do you have for the file path for icon1.gif? And, exactly what do you have for the file path for icon2.gif? Do you have any Replacement Variables for your style? Does it work correctly for a totally default vbulletin style:
How to create a totally default style:
Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save

hey lynne, the images are fine. it's the way vb is requesting the url.
i am attaching a screenshot of a right click/ properties on bad image in the webpage as shown in Internet Explorer. Look at the url shown. look at the tahttp at the beginning. that is the issue.

I know what it looks like in the page source - that wasn't what I was asking about. The urls are very different for icon1 and icon2 in the page source - one is relative and the other is absolute. So, something is going on and the place to start looking is at the beginning.

http://apphunters.com/images/icons/icon1.gif https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/10/10.gif
http://apphunters.com/images/icons/icon2.gif https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2009/10/11.gif
Here are both images, i excluded the "ta" in front of the http for icon1.gif url
there is nothing wrong with the images.

That is not what is in the post icon manager - at least that better not be what is in there since it asks for the file path, not url. I want to know what the path is in the Post Icon Manager for each of the icons.
You also didn't address the other questions I posted in my first post.

Also, what is the value you have set for this?
AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Thread Display Options (showthread) > Show Default Post Icon
