Problem w/jpilot and usernames with spaces

Thanks to GraphicW :), jpilot is integrated into my boards. The only problem is that any usernames with a space in it, is not able to log into the chat. It give an error "Erroneous Username". The hack I used mentioned that they put abc_ before the username that it would solve the space issue, when in fact it is not working. Would someone here know, how we can correct this problem?
