Need to create user profile field viewable only by Admin

I need to create a user profile field that a user can enter data, but what is entered there is viewable ONLY by the admin.

I am searching now for how to do this, but thought a post might bring faster answers in the meantime.

Go to your vB Admin CP > User Profile Fields > Add New User Profile Field.

you will see this option:
Private Field ----- set this to YES.

Then go to Admin CP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager

and click edit to the usergroup that you want it to have the permission and press CONTROL +F and search for "Can View Private Custom Fields" .. just set it to yes.

So telling it "NO" for private field makes it private, or not private?

If you want that field to be only viewable by admins, you would actually set that field to YES. I believe that may have been a typo by Lautaro

Oh yes sorry, my mistake...

you must set private field to yes, and for the usergroups, if you want only admins to be able to view private fields set the option "an View Private Custom Fields" of all the other usergroups to NO and for the admin to YES.

I've done that. Set to YES for the field to be private, set all groups except admin to NO for "Can View Private Custom Fields" and users can all see it anyhow. Help!

Never mind -- had two of the fields set wrong. Whew!
