This hack is write by gogosoft and edit by ztsky.
I have post it before,but in Chinese.Many people PM or email me want to get a English version,So I re-release it inEnglish.
This hack is work in all vb versions
File to be edit:
admin/index.php
index.php
template to be edit:
forumhome
how to install it? :
down zip file.
there are three files in it.
fader.js newsfade.php and installnews.txt
**********upload NEWSFADER.PHP to you vb/ADMIN
**********upload FADER.JS to your vb/
**********edit you file or template as installnews.txt
**********upload edied file.
**********go to you vb/ADMIN modify or post a news!

Somebody would know which file it is necessary to modify so that when one clicks on the bond it opens a new window rather than to open the bond in the window current

does this add any load time to the forum?

Then not that does not add time of loading and that is not difficult to add of news

But it is very deffecult to change the font of the news.

I have tryed to edit the js file and the style of the fader in the forumhome tamplat and it did not work!

I installed it and it worked fine. This is my first hack that I installed but it seemed to go fairly smoothly.

you can edit the js file and forumhome template to make a news background collor you like.
note:some link colors are defined by your bb header style.

Thank you very much for the great hack, I am not talking about text colors or back ground, I was able to change all that.

I am talking about the font and the size of the font, I tryed every thing it just can't be changed.

size ADN font??
WHEN you add a news in admin cp ,you can use HTMLCODE!

From CP you can add HTML and change the font, However I am still can't chang the font for premenant news I added in index.php.

When ever I hit the add in the in the Forum News in Admin screen I get this:

Á¬½Ó URL with a blank box


¿ªÊ¼ÈÕÆÚ(¸ñʽ: yyyy-mm-dd) with a blank box


½áÊøÈÕÆÚ(¸ñʽ: yyyy-mm-dd) with a blank box


ÐÂÎÅÄÚÈÝ(Äú¿ÉÒÔʹÓÃHTML) with a blank box

What do I put in the boxes?


and when I hit edit I get this:

ÎÞÐÂÎ?

and a a blank screen with nowhere to input text.
