Rather than going through the whole spill, here's the link to my issue. I need to get this thing going:

I don't get what you want. There is a link posted to the modification which will show the members online in the last 24 hours (or last day, whichever you set it to). What is wrong with that modification - doesn't it do what you want?

Sorry about not responding sooner. I HAD to get some rest. Anyway, I've got it set up in my homepage template just as described in that thread and it's as if it doesn't exist. It just is not working. Period. It doesn't show up in the adminCP at all. It's there in the template but it's not doing a flipping thing. I checked and doudle checked and it's written correctly too. If I had hair, it would be pulled out right now. I stayed on this until I was just exhausted. Help.

I'm almost to the point of paying someone just to get that stinkin' plug in working. I think it's critical for my members and mods to stay encouraged about the site and I believe this would help do that.

Do you know how to install a product? You are talking about the $template_hook existing (in your other thread), but that is only good if you installed the product correctly. Did you read the manual on how to do this? Importing / Installing a Product (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/import_product)

Lynne,
I installed it just as directed. I must have done something right because it's up and running and has been. I've read everything I could to try and figure it out including the manual. It is in the template just as described. If you are asking if I am a rookie? absolutely YES but I tried to help myself before I got on here and asked for help.

Wait a sec.... you just said "it's up and running and has been", so it is working now?
(That $template_hook line in your template is not something that was added by the modification. It's always in there.)

No, I mean my site is up and running and everything is working. I just can't figure out how to get that particular "feature" to work.

I can't figure out how to "turn it on".

Do you have your plugins turned on - vboptions > plugin / hook system > enable system ? Do you see the product listed in the list under Plugins & Products > Manage Products and it does NOT have a line through the name?

I don't see anything that says "enable system" in that portion of the CP

It just says Installed Products

In your vbulletin options is a section called Plugin / Hook system and it has only one setting in there to turn the system on. Make sure it is on.
It doesn't sound like you ever installed the product or it would be listed in that list. Did you ever follow the instructions given in the manual that I posted a link to?

Lynne,
I guess it's just more than I am able to figure out at this point. NOBODY just arrived. Everone had to start somewhere. I just happen to be just starting out and have alot to learn. I've read the manual and it's still not clicking. Sorry.

OK, do what I say and tell me exactly where you are stuck....
- download the modification.
- unzip it
- you should now have an xml file
- go to your admin cp
- go to plugins & products
- click on Manage Products
- click on Add/Import Product (on bottom of page)
- in top form, click on Browse
- browse and select "Who-has-visited.xml"
- click on Import
- Go to vboptions > who has visited
- For Enable Display, select Yes
Do you see the modification now?

I though the mod was already there (which apparently it is not). Do I go get it from that original thread? I gues it will let me now. For some reason it was not acknowledging as an owner the other day. Let me go there first. I'll be back

I'm not sure what you mean... any modification you find here must be downloaded and installed in some way.

That was the problem THE WHOLE TIME!!! The Community did not recognize me as a vBulletin owner when I first started trying this so I COULD not see the download in the author's OP. For some reason (even though I had linked my e-mail weeks ago) it just acknowledged me yesterday. I just went over there and got it and KABOOM!! it's on and working :) Thanks for your help!

I'm glad you hung in there with me like a rusty fish hook. Thank you so much for being patient. All of this over not being able to see the download in the OP to start with. It DID force me to do alot of digging around though. All's well that ends well.
