VB Phrases are messed up :(

Hello people, I've got a problem. Here is a screenshot:

If you notice, the words 'welcome stormraven' are wrapped in <strong> tags. I don't want them to be bold or anything.

Now, when I take those <strong></strong> tags out from around the welcome stormraven phrase the 'Private messages: unread XX total XX' becomes bold instead. I don't understand it because the strong tags around the welcome stormraven text are the only strong tags in the header and i really don't understand why that when i take it out the private messages bit becomes bold.

I'm guessing that someone may need access to the site in order to help fix this, I'm not deffo, but I'm going to PM shelley because i know she is trust worthy. But if someone knows the answer please help me :(

EDIT: Ok, I cant PM lynne as she has disabled the PM settings but please help someone :(

Let's see the source code of that area in your page and the correcsponding template code. It does seem rather strange that taking the <strong> tags away from just the Welcome message would cause that sort of problem.

It actually was a mod per say ....

Display Unread Posts and Reputation mod

i just disable unread posts in the mod options and things displayed normal. As the test board he had was fine.

Yea, on a lot of boards a php error generates a white page instead of a message. One of the biggest pains if you ask me!

i also went into the mod that was causing the issue and made some edits and now it is working fine on the board and does not have strong content anymore . It actually functions fine now with the edits. He actually needs to take the link or modify it in his signature. He no longer has that domain. He has changed it. So lynn you are not going crazy. he just has the wrong link.
